During this time, it is imperative to avoid strenuous activities that might stress the eyelids or cause inflammation—in addition to keeping them clean and dry at all times. Plus, applying cold compresses throughout the day can help reduce swelling and provide relief as well. With these precautions in place, your incisions will have a better chance of healing correctly with minimal risk of infection.

To ensure optimal healing, it is recommended that you abstain from smoking for a minimum of two weeks post-procedure. Additionally, protect your eyes by wearing sunglasses or a hat when outdoors and exposed to the sun’s rays and windy conditions.
