To qualify, you should have healthy skin, be in good overall health, and not be pregnant or nursing. Current infections, eczema, severe acne, and similar conditions may impact your eligibility. What Causes Facial Wrinkles?

Facial wrinkles are caused by a variety of factors, including age, muscle expression, and environmental factors. As you age, your body produces less collagen. This protein is responsible for moisture retention and cell renewal. As production decreases, your skin will become increasingly less supple.

Why Should I Choose

DR. PASSARETTI FOR MY FILLERS?

Dr. Passaretti is constantly acquiring new tools and technology to make cosmetic treatments more comfortable and effective for his patients, and he recently began using a new microcannula technique to perform all dermal filler treatments.

This advanced technique uses tiny blunt tubes (cannulas) instead of needles when injecting fillers like Restylane® Lyft and JUVÉDERM® into the lips or cheeks, resulting in:

  • Incredible accuracy
  • Minimal swelling
  • Virtually no bruising
  • Smooth, natural-looking results

What Is the Difference between BOTOX and Dermal Fillers?

Botox and dermal fillers are designed to address different areas of the face. BOTOX can reduce wrinkles in the forehead and around the eyes. Dermal fillers can reduce signs of aging around the mouth and nose. In many cases, fillers can also increase volume in the lips and cheeks for a more youthful appearance.

In addition, these injectable treatments function differently. BOTOX blocks nerve signals and muscle movements, preventing the wrinkles that form from habitual expressions. Dermal fillers, on the other hand, can boost volume and build up recessed areas of the face, while promoting collagen production.

How Do I Know Which Dermal Filler Is Right for Me?

To determine the right treatment for your needs, Dr. Passaretti can conduct a comprehensive consultation, reviewing the areas of concern, the degree of correction required, your budget, and your overall health.

Under-Eye Filler FAQ

To determine the right treatment for your needs, Dr. Passaretti can conduct a comprehensive consultation, reviewing the areas of concern, the degree of correction required, your budget, and your overall health.

Your injectable treatment should involve little to no discomfort. Often, Dr. Passaretti can apply a topical anesthetic to your skin beforehand, so you should feel nothing more than a slight pinch during the procedure.

No, Dr. Passaretti can precisely administer your injections at strategic locations. As such, he can achieve stunning effects while still preserving your normal expressions.

You may experience some swelling, bruising, and inflammation for a few hours to days at the site of the injections. However, cold compresses and non-prescription medications are typically sufficient to alleviate discomfort.

Injectables do not require downtime, and you can return to your regular routine immediately after your appointment. However, for several days following treatment, you should avoid direct sun exposure as much as possible.

BOTOX results will typically begin to appear two to three days after the procedure, though it may take up to two weeks before the final effects are visible. With most dermal fillers, the results are immediately apparent. However, if you choose Sculptra, you will usually need two to three rounds of treatment, so you may not see final results for about six weeks.

The effects of BOTOX can last up to four months, and the results of JUVEDERM can last up to nine months or longer. The effects of Restylane Lyft and RADIESSE® can persist for up to one year, while the results of Sculptra can remain for up to two years. Our team can also advise you on the best way to maintain filler results for as long as possible.
