Eyelid surgery is used to correct cosmetic eye problems as well as inherited traits that impair vision and contribute to a “droopy” or “tired” appearance. At our Connecticut practice, we approach eyelid surgery in several ways. We commonly perform eyelid surgery on the upper eyelids to remove overhanging skin that descends over the lids, and we also offer eyelid surgery on the lower lids to remove the excess skin and pockets of fat that cause unattractive “bags” under the eyes. By tightening the skin and muscle and removing small pockets of fat, we can make your eyes appear younger and give you a more attentive, alert look.
Eyelid surgery can produce amazing results, especially when combined with a face lift or wrinkle treatments like BOTOX® Cosmetic and JUVÉDERM®. Some of our Connecticut patients may benefit from upper or lower eyelid surgery alone, or simultaneous correction of the upper and lower lids with complete eyelid surgery. During your consultation at our office in Fairfield County, Connecticut, each eyelid surgery will be discussed in detail. Dr. Passaretti will make a treatment recommendation based on several factors, including the physical condition and thickness of your skin, your facial structure, as well as your personal goals for surgery.
